3 § 20-107.1(E) — Statutory Factors Rate Each Factor

Rate each factor's tendency to favor the Payor (reducing support) or the Payee (increasing support). Neutral means the factor is evenly balanced or not applicable.

4 Special Circumstances

Adultery by the payee bars permanent support under § 20-107.1(B), subject to a "manifest injustice" exception. Adultery by the payor does not bar the payee from receiving support.


Spousal support terminates by operation of law upon the payee's remarriage or upon cohabitation with another person in a relationship analogous to marriage for one year or more. § 20-109(A).
